There is a fantastic range of walking available,
with the South West Coast Path (SWCP) at the
end of the road, Charlestown just a 1 mile walk
along the road, beautiful sea views walks and
a choice of traffic-free trials nearby.
Cycling varies from the National Cycle Routes 2 and 3
which connect St Austell for example to Land’s End
(The Cornish Way) or the less demanding trip to nearby
Mevagissey (The Penteway Trail). The Camel trail is a
traffic-free disused railway line from Bodmin to
Padstow but many joining points closer to Padstow.

The Unesco listed harbour which featured on Poldark,
is home to The Charlestown Shipwreck, Rescue and
Heritage Centre and lots of award-winning bars,
restaurants, ice-cream sellers and coffee shops.
